The body is the chrysalis of a soul:

The infinite holds the finite in its arms,

Time travels towards revealed eternity…

In all we feel his presence and his power.”

– Savitri, Sri Aurobindo

A Force that descends in the stone

In the leaf, the flower and the bone

That which strings the universe together

Throbbing at the heart of all things

Is the Chit of the Sat revealed as ananda

Yet the toil in the three planes                   Om Anandamayi

Having refused the luminous felicity

Despairs in its dialogue with death.

But a glorious effulgence infused in the packing of matter

Unlocks the knots to answer the Spirit’s call

For only It is She who could guide us

On a path that is fraught with delusion and discord

To knock the veil of time’s anomalies

And tear the walls beyond drought and deluge

For the sweet flow of a timeless eternity

That has laid the bricks for the foundation of faith

An art that remembers the sacrificial fire

In the purgatory of an offering

Where the all-consuming devours the falsehood of body and mind

Leaving behind a symbol and meaning

In the luminous presence of the soul

Where matter is free from the tyranny of thoughts

In a naught where forces converge

Permeating consciousness as bliss in the life of this creation.

Eva Project 1

What I Think of Once Upon A Time, Eva As an Artist’s vision and a creative imaginary journey… Review by M. Morrison

First of all – as a disclaimer I would like to say straightaway – That Eva as I saw it is not about an art project or a mere vision gallery of photo art series – It has been a journey- a creative one -‘no doubt’. But an instilling of passion, struggle and an inner vision for the need of self-projection during dreadful testing times. Its the transformation of pain and personal suffering of an artist who is trying to open its mind to the visions that come and go. And in concrete terms it led to the birth of what you can call ‘Eva’. Once Upon A Time, Eva takes you through this journey of the artist’s mind as she works through to create her visions as a visual piece of art during her most trying times. Being battered by an unknown disease – she has been neither discouraged nor disheartened rather more forcefully devoted than ever to bring her visions come alive on the canvas. Caroline Allard Doucet – A Canadian French artist- native to its Quebec Region has gone through what you call a whirlwind of experiences and exploration. From sojourning to Nepal and the Far East – To her adventurous advent living and journeying through Europe – she now finds her haven in the city of Moscow, Russia – a place she felt spiritually connected and drawn towards what she strived for. Caroline’s personal life has never been too short for what you can call an Artist’s Cathartic purgation.

She has gone through everything you can imagine – from relentless travels -finding work in foreign countries with language barriers to earn a living – to sketching on streets you name it and she has been through that experience. With private health issues troubling her daily life and restricting her in many ways, she has been diligent to find a way of expressing her pent-up energy – expression and emotions through her art. It has been the only way to release and exhibit her mental thoughts and introspection on through the frame of her artistic creations. However myriad they may be or however mythical they sound-Caroline’s art is a true testimony to her visionary self -one that experiences myriad uniquely psychic forms expressing in her mind in some ancient Gothic language. And that’s what you find in her art. A symbolic representative style especially in low-key (low lighting) choice of colors with backgrounds sketched or defined in human forms or figurines of sombre medieval times or to a completely surreal imagery of a winged feminine form rising from a conch shell as a mythical phoenix from its ashes- Caroline’s vision is varied in many ways from inspirations taken of Russian folklore (a subject very close to her heart)- to Slavic tales and other psychic revelation of the Kabbalah’s tree of life – the Vesica Pisces –  the all seeing eye  and many other mythical symbols.

She creates her visions and dreams full of imaginative references to the culture and mythology that draws her artistic potentials -And one can see that apparently reflected in art –

As she progresses to take her vision forward and creative imagination interpreting more expressive art revelations occurring to her through this evolutionary journey of an artist’s life…
