Sri Siksastakam
Text 1
ceto-darpana-marjanam bhava-maha–davagni-nirvapanam
shreyah-kairava-chandrika-vitaranam vidya-vadhu-jivanam
anandambudhi-vardhanam prati-padam purnamritaswadanam
sarvatma-snapanam param vijayate sri-krishna-sankirtanam
The Chariot of Jagannatha moves
Etching on its way the beautiful landscape- the pixelated cities with mountain of lights
Surging under the vast canopy of an overladen sky
Hands raised illuminating the sun
The body’s swirling movement invoking the phases of the moon
And the dance regenerates life
Fluting ethereal vibrations through the membrane gateways
Honeyed by the sound of the conch across the spiral galaxies
Time is a figure distilled by the thoughts
A motionless poise is an entry to temple of eternity
There mind exits and flowers sail over the body
Making it the garden of surrender
Graced by the transcendental eloquence of the para-brahman
It is the source that you ought not seek
Seeking is the falsehood that duality promises
Text 2
namnam akari bahudha nija-sarva-shaktis
tatrarpita niyamitah smarane na kalah
etadrishi tava kripa bhagavan mamapi
durdaivam idrisham ihajani nanuragaha

Lord Jagannatha, Mother Subhadra and Lord Balarama (R-L)
In a state of bliss the chariot moves without moving
Chanting frequencies of cosmic love
That mysteriously dawned upon the human brain
Centering at the heart
Childlike and innocent
It may read the scriptures backward in time
Or, may look at the tears of shooting stars
In a playful forest of singing damsels and gods
Reach out for the hand that touches you from within
The peace bestowed is everlasting and green….
Jay Jagannatha…….
OM MAA……
