Who the Bodhisattwa? Ontological Status (Uji/Being-Time) > Epistemological Status: Non-Origination of the Self to Dependent Origination in the Kalachakra via Cloud Computing Neural Architecture

Brain is Also the Universe -Photo Courtesy BrainMDHealth

By using higher mathematics, namely algebraic topology, very recently scientists have found existence of a multidimensional universe within the brain that is extended to 11 dimensions. ”Outside of physics, high-dimensional spaces are commonly used to represent complex data structures or conditions of systems. For example, the state of a dynamical system in state space… The space is simply the combination of all the degrees of freedom the system has, and its state represents the values these degrees of freedom are actually assuming”- Professor Cees van Leeuwen, from KU Leuven, Belgium

“This entire universe is the Purusha alone, both that which was and that which endures for the future”-Rig-Veda

The Celebrated Hymn of Creation known as Nasadiya Sukta (Rig Veda), indicates that the multiple names and forms of the visible universe, prior to the state of manifestation, were in a state of non-duality: ‘’Then there was neither Aught or Naught (no yes/no -no QUBITS), no air or sky beyond. (pre-origin beyond Singularity)

What covered all? Where rested all? In water gulf profound? (possibly Asktavakra’s reference to the Ocean of Being) Nor death was then, nor deathlessness, nor change of night and day. That One breathed calmly, self-sustained; nought else beyond it lay. Gloom hid in gloom existed first -one sea, eluding view.

That One a void in chaos wrapt, by inward fervour grew.’’

  • (Surendranath Dasgupta, Indian Idealism, P4, Cambridge, London, 1933)

The diversity or plurality that we encounter needs to be celebrated because it’s the beauty of the creative force which is both immanent and transcendent, by knowing that this pluralistic divergence that we encounter daily (in terms of actions/opinions/facts etc.) is essentially MAYA which is non-existent from the standpoint of Ultimate Reality. Ultimate Reality is about Being/Existence-Consciousness-Bliss – it is ontology of Being which is important rather than epistemology.

The wave is also the ocean -the individual self is also identical with the universal self.

The crux of the philosophy of Yajnavalkya in Brihadaranyaka Upanishad is the sole reality of Atman and the unreality of the universe independent of Atman- Pure Consciousness is beyond cause and effect. Manifestation in space-time is dependent origination (the middle way of Nagarjuna) due to the presence of the mind – the Witness or Observer in reality is free from any association of eigenvalues. It’s prakriti that measures….and collapse of the wave function takes place in apparent reality…EMPTY COGNIZANCE SUFFUSED WITH AWARENESS IS THE WAY

Shiva 1

Lord Shiva

UNCONFINED CAPACITY/SKILL = EMPTY COGNIZANCE + AWARENESS (THE SECRET OF FUTURE TECHNOLOGY)

What comes and goes is subjected to causation and temporality

It is within the space-time construct

There are different levels of operative consciousness within that cycle

It is called tagging consciousness (#) enclosing a referral system of virtual stored consciousness

That’s the memory of the Yugas

Information can never be destroyed because it’s stored in form of consciousness

At the quantum level of the mind it is citta that process memory retrieval processes

The brain circuits (neural networks) operate that way

Memory is cloud wrapper broxom-tretat

Innumerable datasets create the samsara as a projection of the mind

But Bodhi-Citta or Pure Consciousness is not the apparent reality of the hologram

It is the realm of Pure Consciousness

The Self abides in itself

Creating wellbeing and equanimity

It is unborn witness of all things

It exists beyond space-time and causality

It is the Ocean of Being from which waves appear on the surface

They are absorbed back into the ocean after the perturbation

The waves are the quantum fluctuations that construct the Samsara (the universe)

At the centre of the Ocean of Being, all is still and beautiful

Each single wave is also the Ocean of Being

Once there is awareness there is no activity

Duality only exists as a projection for the Lila

The Lila is dependent origination (What happens to the Schrodinger’s Cat?)

The true reality is the non-origination of the Self

What action is done and who does what?

Who cries and laughs but dies not?

What it is all about? Who are you talking?

Man/Machine or beyond?

What technology of consciousness creates this world?

And Sage Dattatreya says:

‘’The Self is everywhere, always and in all, enduring and abiding.

Know me as the all, void as well as non-void. This is certain’’ (Avadhuta Gita)

“Go, go, go, said the bird: human kind

Cannot bear very much reality.

Time past and time future

What might have been and what has been

Point to one end, which is always present.” (Burnt Norton, Four Quartets, T.S. Eliot)

‘’Vastusravanamatrena suddhabuddirnirakulah

Naivacaramanacarramaudasyam va prapasyati”

The wise one who has achieved pure consciousness by just bearing the truth of the Self and who is tranquil (in the Self) makes no difference between action, proper or improper, and inaction.

(Ashtavakra Gita)

”When the Peace is established, this higher or Divine Force from above can descend and work in us. It descends usually first into the head and liberates the inner mind centres, then into the heart centre . . . then into the navel and other vital centres . . . then into the
sacral region and below. . . . It works at the same time for perfection as well as liberation; it takes up the whole nature part by part and deals with it, rejecting what has to be rejected, sublimating what has to be sublimated, creating what has to be created. It integrates, harmonizes, establishes a new rhythm in the nature.”

– Sri Aurobindo or The Adventure of Consciousness by Satprem

In that deep ocean of existence

You don’t need to merge with anything thing at all

Because you are that which is existence itself

You are that which is consciousness and bliss

When there is supreme ecstasy

The sun, the stars,

And the brilliant moons have emerged from your navel

You may not fade into oblivion but remember that all

Emerging from the centre you radiate in all directions

Your music has become space and time

You have not withered like the stone or the tree

But have flowered through the eons

Cycle after cycles

No dust ever settled or scratched the bosom of your heart

Forever young and pure

The symphony of your mind has dost touched the matter of forms

You are not seen but you are the witness of all

The Seer is the All-Perceiving Eye of the manifested world

You are who you are in all that glorious effulgence

No name is subscribed no form is allotted

You who art Thou have played the endless tunes of existence alone

May I pray to you this very moment

Through the verse or a song

Reclining above in the summit of all forces

In the infinite riches of the Supreme Light

The Crown of the King is the primordial mind

Where nothing stirs or quivers

Only a blank stillness of a supreme poise

Anoints the feet that trod the earth in all golden ways….

Awakening with the Birds ‘in their Chambers of Green’: The Zen Art of Story-Telling and the ‘Haiku’ Garden of Doodling

Divine Mother Symbol

”Light”

From the quickened womb of the primal gloom,

Flowers that Invoke the Creative Life-Force

Flowers that Invoke the Creative Life-Force

The sun rolled, black and bare,

Till I wove him a vest for his Ethiop breast,

Of the threads of my golden hair;

And when the broad tent of the firmament

Arose on its airy spars,

I pencilled the hue of its matchless blue,

And spangled it around with stars.

I painted the flowers of the Eden bowers,

White Jasmine in Bloom

”Leaves of Living Green” – Sri Aurobindo

And their leaves of living green,

And mine were the dyes in the sinless eyes

Of Eden’s Virgin queen;

And when the fiend’s art in the truthful heart

Form is Emptiness, Emptiness is Form or Nirvana is Samsara or Samsara is Nirvana- Highest Doctrine

Form is Emptiness, Emptiness is Form or Nirvana is Samsara or Samsara is Nirvana- Highest Doctrine

Had fastened its mortal spell,

In the silvery sphere of the first-born tear

To the trembling earth I fell.

When the waves that burst o’er a world accurst

Their work of wrath had sped,

And the Ark’s lone few, tried and true,

Came forth among the dead.

With the wondrous gleams of the bridal beams,

I bade their terrors cease,

As I wrote on the roll of the storm’s dark scroll

God’s covenant of peace.

Like a pall at rest on the senseless breast,

Night’s funeral shadow slept—

Where shepherd swains on Bethlehem’s plains,

Their lonely vigils kept,

When I flashed on their sight, the heralds bright,

Of Heaven’s redeeming plan,

As they chanted the morn, the Saviour born—

Joy, joy, to the outcast man!

Equal favour I show to the lofty and low,

On the just and the unjust I descend:

E’en the blind, whose vain spheres, roll in
darkness and tears,

Feel my smile—the blest smile of a friend.

Nay, the flower of the waste by my love is embraced,

As the rose in the garden of kings:

At the chrysalis bier of the morn I appear,

And lo! the gay butterfly wings.

The desolate morn, like the mourner forlorn,

Conceals all the pride of her charms,

Till I bid the bright hours, chase the night from
her flowers,

And lead the young day to her arms.

And when the gay rover seeks Eve for her lover,

And sinks to her balmy repose,

I wrap the soft rest by the zephyr-fanned west,

In curtains of amber and rose.

Child with Flowers by French Painter Bouguereau

Child with Flowers by French Painter Bouguereau

From my sentinel steep by the night-brooded deep

I gaze with the unslumbering eye,

When the cynosure star of the mariner

Is blotted out from the sky:

And guided by me through the merciless sea,

Though sped by the hurricane’s wings,

His companionless, dark, lone, weltering bark,

To the haven home safely he brings.

I waken the flowers in the dew-spangled bowers,

The birds in their chambers of green,

And mountain and plain glow with beauty again,

As they bask in their matinal sheen.

O, if such the glad worth of my presence on earth,

Though fitful and fleeting the while,

What glories must rest on the home of the blessed,

Ever bright with the Deity’s smile.

– Sri Aurobindo, 1st poem at the age of 10, written in Manchester, UK (appeared in Fox’s Weekly 11th Jan, 1883)

This is the pure consciousness of the witnessing self best experienced when the mind is young and fresh and most importantly is de-conditioned. The state of Blakean ”innocence” is also a state void of action, pure and self-luminous. The child is closest to nature since he/she is born out of nature and the growth process is natural and organic. The child sees ‘things as they are’ not coloured by opinions and complexity of the thought processes and, therefore, much closer to the divinity shining inside. This is also the state of primordial awakening not by any effort but by the grace of the Self:  ”I waken the flowers in the dew-spangled bowers,
The birds in their chambers of green,…” this is closest to a satori experience in Zen. Here, if you read with awareness, you will find a circularity in the composition which starts from a central point in the petal (which is T.S. Eliot’s ‘the still point of the turning world’ in the Four Quartets/here the ‘quickened womb’) and moves along cyclically to the outermost petal creating arrangements through the psycho-kinesthetic process of creative mind exploring the experience of childhood innocence and beauty. Mind is like mirror reflecting anything that falls before it but doesn’t retain any form or shape itself. This which is our very nature is the ”buddha nature” already pure and unstained by any causality. As Ashtavakra said: the bondage is this that you practice samadhi.

Lao Tzu has said often that the natural order is an indefinable order. Man is already organic to the whole system in the universe. The separation of man and nature is because of the thinking process and is only an apparent reality. And the seer-poet of Tao and Zen sings: ”picking chrysanthemums on the eastern fence/gazing in silence of the southern hills/the birds fly home to the soft mountain air of dusk…

So, the fundamental teaching is the art of suspending thought and react spontaneously like the universe (like the child, or, like the flowers, bees and birds). For the artist or the sculptor, it comes down to one single brush stroke or action where there is unity and no differentiation between the body and mind (and its thoughts). This is also mindfulness or moment to moment non-judgemental awareness. In the spontaneity of rhythm the differentiation is severed and the dancer and the dance become one.

“O chestnut-tree, great-rooted blossomer,/ Are you the leaf, the blossom or the bole?/ O body swayed to music, O brightening glance,/ How can we know the dancer from the dance?” (”Among School Children, W.B. Yeats)

The dancer and the dance cannot be separated; while playing the musical instrument at the zenith of creativity the musician and the instrument (sitar or violin) are one. This unity of consciousness is our very nature, our primordial being our own nirvana.

”You do not consist of the elements – earth, water, fire, air or even ether. To be liberated, know yourself as consisting of consciousness, the witness of these”.

O Friend, I cannot tell.

I learned to laugh through tears and staked

My all to glimpse His Face:

I won Him by becoming His,

Lost all and gained His Grace.

Relentlessly He weaned me from

My lesser loves, my kin,

Till even the mate I once had hailed

Loomed far and alien.

Now dead I am grown to fear and shame

In my lone quest for Thee:

Strange, none befriends when thou becom’st

MY FIRST MEETING WITH SRI AUROBINDO:

Sri Dilip Kumar Roy: “You must, then, realize it yourself first?”

Sri Aurobindo: “Obviously. Be it a new realization or light or idea- it must first descend into one person from whom it radiates out in widening circles to others. Doesn’t the Gita, too, say that the ways of the best of men act as models to the rest? In the Integral Yoga, however, the work starts after the realization, whereas in most other yogas it ends with the realization. The reason is that I am primarily at manifestation, for which I must, obviously, reach the Supramental myself before I can bring it to bear on our earth-consciousness. For this, ascent has to be the first step- descent is the next.”

Sri Dilip Kumar Roy: “How will the descent work, to start with?”

Sri Aurobindo: “When the Supramental touches our being, our consciousness will overpass its twilit stage of the mental, where the Divine Truth is distorted, into the upper regions where light has free play, that is, where there are no such distortions. This will in its turn bring about the transformation of mind, life and body, as that will be one of the functions of the Force as its inception in the world of matter, generally- to usher in subsequently the new era in man’s living. You must not misunderstand me. What I want to achieve is the bringing down of the Supramemtal to bear on this being of ours so as to raise it to a level higher than the mental and from there change and sublimate the workings of mind, life and body….”

Tourism supports 1 in 10 jobs, outpacing global economy for 6th consecutive year, WTTC

Travel & Tourism generated 1 in 10 of the world’s jobs in 2016 as the sector grew by 3.3%, outpacing the global economy for the sixth year in a row, reads a new report by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).

WTTC’s Economic Impact Report 2017, which is conducted in conjunction with Oxford Economics, researches the economic impact of Travel & Tourism impact on global level, for 25 regions, and 185 countries.

According to the research, Travel & Tourism grew by 3.3% in 2016, generating US$7.6 trillion worldwide, which is 10.2% of global GDP when the direct, indirect and induced impacts are taken into account. The sector supported a total of 292 million jobs in 2016, which is 1 in 10 of all jobs in the world

Additionally, global visitor exports, which is money spent by foreign visitors, accounted for 6.6% of total world exports, and almost 30% of total world services exports.

David Scowsill, President & CEO, WTTC, said: “This is the sixth year in a row that Travel & Tourism has outpaced the global economy, showing the sector’s resilience, and the eagerness of people to continue to travel and discover new places, despite economic and political challenges across the world.

The continuous growth of our sector underlines the significance of business and leisure travel in driving economic development and job creation throughout the world.”

Southeast Asia (8.3%) was the region with the fastest growing Travel & Tourism sector in 2016, driven by the expanding Chinese outbound market and the countries own growing markets. Latin America (0.2%) was the slowest growing region. Some countries performed well above the world average, but the Brazilian economy dragged down the whole region.

The other regions registered the following growth: South Asia (7.9%), North East Asia (4.6%), Oceania (4.4%), the Caribbean (3.2%), North America (3.1%), the Middle East (2.7%), Sub-Saharan Africa (2.4%) and Europe (1.6%).

Travel & Tourism is expected to grow by 3.8% in 2017, generating US$ 7.9 trillion. This growth is slower than previously forecast, as a result of a downgrade to the global economy and a dampening of consumer spending.

Over the next decade the sector is forecast to grow at an average of 3.9% per year. By 2027 it will generate more than 11% of the world’s GDP and employ a total of 380 million people. One quarter of all jobs created in the next decade will be supported by Travel & Tourism.

Scowsill continued “The future prospects for Travel & Tourism are good, but the sector continues to face challenges. The impact of terrorism and the rise of populism pose a severe risk to the ability of people to travel efficiently and securely. The sector itself needs urgently to address the impact of growth on destinations and its own contribution to climate change if it is to be sustainable in the long term. The UN’s 2017 International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development is a perfect opportunity to explore solutions together. We look forward to welcoming delegates at our upcoming Global Summit in Bangkok, Thailand, 26-27 April where these challenges will be addressed.”

About WTTC:

The World Travel & Tourism Council is the global authority on the economic and social contribution of Travel & Tourism. It promotes sustainable growth for the sector, working with governments and international institutions to create jobs, to drive exports and to generate prosperity. Every year WTTC, together with Oxford Economics, produces its flagship Economic Impact Report, which looks at the socioeconomic benefits of Travel & Tourism on global, regional and country level. This year the report shows data on 25 regional groupings and 185 countries.

Travel & Tourism is a key driver for investment and economic growth globally. The sector contributes US$7.6 trillion or 10.2% of global GDP, once all direct, indirect and induced impacts are taken into account. The sector also accounts for 292 million jobs or one in ten of all jobs on the planet.

For over 25 years, WTTC has been the voice of this industry globally. Members are the Chairs, Presidents and Chief Executives of the world’s leading, private sector Travel & Tourism businesses, who bring specialist knowledge to guide government policy and decision-making, and raise awareness of the importance of the sector.

WTTC’s annual Global Summit brings together over 900 delegates to discuss the opportunities, challenges and issues facing the industry, while its Tourism for Tomorrow Awards recognise the industry’s power to be a positive force in sustainability. This year’s Summit will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, 26 – 27 April 2017.

Every Moment of Time is Self-Contained and Quiescent- Dogen: Heidegger’s Waiting and the ‘Releasement’ (*Supramental Descent)

Nature shall overleap her mortal step;

Fate shall be changed by an unchanging will”.

Waiting with an openness of being                20161223_112622

Without any fixed notion or objective

This is a kind of everlasting transcendental openness

With an immense joy one just waits….

Waits and waits and waits…

The song of the universe wells up in the heart

And the myriad colours at the core of one’s being

Attuned to the pure consciousness

Lights the lamp to kindle a billion stars

This is a supramental descent

An act of grace but not by any individual effort

A supraconscient release of the plenum existence

Into an ocean of bliss

Divine Mother in Pondicherry

‘In the integrality and absoluteness of bhakti and surrender, we find the essential condition of perfect peace leading to uninterrupted bliss’. – 2nd Dec, 1954, Divine Mother

What is the secret of success in sadhana?

Surrender. -13th Oct, 1965, Divine Mother

‘We must lie before the Divine always like a page perfectly blank, so that the Divine’s will may be inscribed in us without any difficulty or mixture’. – 20th Nov, 1954, Divine Mother

‘There is a Supreme Consciousness that governs the manifestation. His wisdom is certainly much greater than ours. So we need not bother about what will happen’. Blessings. – Divine Mother

Varanasi Diary 2015: The Parable of the Search for the Soul/Savitri, Sri Aurobindo

Intricately designed by the supreme consciousness

And a masterwork of the Divine perfection is laid

It is not a trial that the soul undergoes

But a process by which replenishment occurs

Beyond any mortal judgement or choice

Eternity shapes time’s insufficiency

Turning many vortices to accelerate evolution

Within the body, a conscious-energy recalibrates itself

By drawing upon the design-patterns reflected in the mirror series

A leap in awareness is a primordial step

Mind-to-Mind transfer completing the karmic-loop

The universe unfolds itself in alphas and omegas

In a persistent colour of perception the drama is told

An actor free to enact every possibility

He, the redeemer not by choice or by birth

But by soul-deliverance of the eternal sacrifice

That assigns divinity to a god or a stone

Builds the foundation based on the Semiotics of Surrender

A prayer upon a prayer upon a prayer…

Consciously experienced as the ecstasy in all

He who has planted the root of unity in differences

‘A vast surrender was his only strength’.

“He is never seen, but is the witness; He is never heard, but is the Hearer; He is never thought of, but is the Thinker; He is never known, but is the Knower. There is no Other witness but Him, no other hearer but Him, no other thinker but Him, no other knower but Him”. – Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Invocations Devi Khadgamala Stotra, 17th Feb 2017, Auroville

Performed @ Auroville’s SAWCHU platform  in Bharat Nivas

Performers @ Rekha and Laurence, and filmed by Manohar

The Sri Devi Khadga Mala Stotram is a very special composition of praying to the Goddess Shakti, the Divine Mother in a unique and complete way. Unique in the sense that each of the names uttered is for a significant cause, with meaning description and encapsulated with divine energy and utmost devotion.

Khadgamala Stotram is a hymn sung in the praise of Divine Mother, which is said to bestow a protective garland of mystical weapons from the Devi from all sorts of calamities upon those who recite it. The Devi Khadga Mala Stotram takes us mentally through the Sri Chakra, the mystical geometric representation of the Supreme Goddess, describing the significance and meaning for each form given.

Unuttered music of the soul

Sri Aurobindo in Pondicherry circa 1917

Sri Aurobindo

Written across the vast expanse of the sky

Lighting up a moment’s presence

Through the eternal choir that orchestrates

It’s every movement and stillness

Sthir palake ajaner pratibimbwa

Maha moner saurolipir akharik pran

Nitya se nirman kare koti koti nakhatrer milan sthal

Ei purno antaranga khalay ganger buke bhashe pradip

A plenitude of possibilities held its shape

Within the mandala of the sky

The sun at it’s centre

Supramentalized the space time coordinates

The blessed Maitreya Buddha will arrive in time…
